When I was getting my Master’s Degree, the end of the program required a capstone course. The capstone project was a minimum of 20 pages with 10 references. Not just 10 references from anywhere, but references from a peer-reviewed scientific journal.
If you are a student and writing ANY paper, regardless of length, you should use Grammarly. (How I wish I had this when I was working on my Master’s Degree!!!)
The plagiarism detector would have helped me be certain I wasn’t relying too heavily on my sources. That alone would have sold me.
In fact, I’ll go even further and say that if you are writing ANYTHING at all, you should use Grammarly. If you are writing a blog, or maybe just composing emails to send to your boss, you are going to want to come across as pulled together, educated, and articulate.

I currently have the Grammarly Safari Extension that I’ve downloaded (for free), and it makes it very easy for me to use! I like having it for working on the blog. They have extensions for other browsers as well, including Firefox and Chrome among others.
Here’s a screenshot of how Grammarly is working while I write. I decided to throw in a double negative to demonstrate how it works:
As you can see it underlines the “critical issue” with my post, and then to the side shows the appropriate wording in green!
With this running in the background with this extension, it even proofreads my Facebook posts! You can write confidently anywhere online – from Facebook, Twitter, your Yahoo email, or anywhere else you write on the web!
It seems like a no-brainer to download the FREE version of Grammarly to start with, and give it a try! The free version may do everything you desire and need. However, if you are a student or publishing anything professionally, you may want to upgrade to the premium version!
