How To Make Extra Money with Swagbucks

Disclosure: This post may contain affiliate links. This means if you click on a link and make a purchase, I may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you! I never endorse products/services that I don’t personally use and/or trust. You can view my full disclosure policy for details.

If someone told you that you could earn $1000+ extra dollars a year without really working hard, you would jump at it, wouldn’t you?  You’d be crazy not to!

Swagbucks makes that possible.  I can promise you they are legit – and I’ve redeemed my Swagbucks for plenty of Amazon cards!  They even have an A rating with the Better Business Bureau.

You could use the extra money for Christmas, or for your next Disney vacation!

Earn Money with Swagbucks

How to Make Extra Money with Swagbucks

Without working hard!  You will be doing half of the things you will be doing with Swagbucks ALREADY.  Why not just earn some money while you do it???  (You will thank yourself a few Amazon Gift Cards later.)  Ok, let’s get started!!!

Signing up is easy. Go to Swagbucks and enter your email address or sign in with Facebook to create your account.

After creating an account, you can earn some quick and easy SBs by filling out your profile, installing the “SwagButton” browser extension, and making Swagbucks your default search engine.

Making Swagbucks Your Default Search Engine

Make Swagbucks your default search engine and you’ll earn between 25 and 50 SBs per day, with the occasional bonus thrown in.  Simply just use Swagbucks instead of Google.  The results will be the same search results, and you are rewarded for searching.

The Swag Button

The SwagButton is a browser extension for Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer. Keeping it installed earns you 1 SB a day, but it also helps you earn you extra SBs in a couple of ways. The SwagButton lets you know if the site you’re on offers SBs for online shopping, shows videos in the corner of your screen, and lets you redeem Swag Codes right from your browser.

What are Swag Codes?

Swag Codes are short codes that earn you instant SBs (usually between one and five) and expire after a few hours or days. You’ll find them “hidden” around the site and social media.  You can find them with Facebook, Twitter, the Swagbucks blog, and/or Instagram.  It’s basically like a treasure hunt for money!

When you see a SwagCode, enter it in the SwagButton to have the Swagbucks entered immediately into your account!  After you install the SwagButton, it will notify you when there is a new code so you don’t have to constantly hunt for them!

Shopping Online Through Swagbucks

Swagbucks gives you rewards for shopping through their links, clicking through Swagbucks before heading to the site you plan to shop from.  You are going to pay the same price either way, so why not earn Swagbucks (SBs) from your purchases? You are earning money from something you are already doing!

Earn SB points for every dollar you spend plus get access to exclusive deals and coupons to your favorite retailers.  This means cash back shopping at over 1500 retailers including Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Starbucks. (Did I just say Starbucks?  Yes, I did.  Yes, I’d like an Ultimate Caramel Frappuccino please… for free.

Add the Swagbucks Shop page to your bookmarks, and use it every time you plan on buying something online. If you’ve installed the SwagButton, it will alert you anytime you’re visiting a site where you can earn SBs.  (For example, Amazon pays up to 5 SBs for every dollar you spend on certain item categories.)

Yes, I mentioned exclusive deals and coupons.  There will be special coupon codes that rotate through for your favorite stores.  You can also earn SBs for coupons that you print!!  Swagbucks offers coupons to help you save money at the store while also rewarding you with SBs when you use those coupons.  It’s a win-win.

Swagbucks Pays for Surveys

The Daily Poll is a very quick daily poll that you can earn SBs for.  It’s going to be a small amount (1 SB), but it’s basically one question and that will add up quickly!  (Today I seriously earned 1 SB for just saying that I prefer restaurants that allow reservations.  One simple click.  I waste more time than what that took for no reward on a daily basis.)

There are plenty of ways to earn rewards through paid surveys, with some paying up to 300 SBs each. While you have to qualify for surveys before you take them, Swagbucks does try to match you so you waste less time. Surveys vary based on time (3 minutes to 20 minutes) and ranging from 3 SBs to 300 SBs.

Swagbucks Will Pay You To Watch Videos And Play Games

The videos are in all sorts of categories so you’re likely to find something that you will enjoy. (I love watching recipe videos for fresh ideas!)  You can also download the Swagbucks TV app, which plays videos back-to-back on your phone.

It gets better and better, doesn’t it?  Do you love playing games? If you play through Swagbucks, you can earn SBs for every dollar you spend on entry fees.

Refer Friends to Swagbucks for Extra Bucks

Want to share Swagbucks with your friends? Referrals are a fast and easy way to make a lot of SBs as once. You can share a link on Facebook or email your friends.  Once a friend signs up for Swagbucks through your link, you earn 10% of the SBs your referral earns — for life.  Also, you’ll get 10% of their earnings for life!  That means if your friend earns 500 SB, you’ll get 50 SB.  (At the time of this post, they are also offering a $3 bonus for your referrals.  Don’t miss out on that!)  There is no limit to the number of referrals you make.

Email everyone!  I even sent it to my mom who has jumped on board the Ibotta train as well!  She loves finding ways to save money, and if I send it to her she knows it’s trustworthy!

Swagbucks has an App to Make Your Life EVEN EASIER

Swagbucks has a mobile app that makes it easy to earn Swagbucks.  I know I’m OFTEN on my phone – much more than I am my laptop.  The app is available for both Android and iOS devices and is free.  I often use the mobile app is to watch videos in the background while I work on other things, like cooking dinner or while I’m doing the tons of paperwork.  I like to watch TV or videos in the background anyway, so why not earn money for it?

How Do I Redeem my Swagbucks?

Swagbucks pays in gift cards to retailers like Amazon (most popular), Target, Walmart, and iTunes. You can usually expect to get roughly $1 on a gift card for every 100 SBs you redeem.  Keep an eye on their Rewards page, as sometimes certain gift cards go “on sale” and you can get larger GC amounts for fewer SBs.

Once you’ve earned enough SBs for the reward you want, redeem them!

To redeem, click on “Rewards” on the left-hand column of your Dashboard.  Search for the gift card you desire (my favorites are Amazon, Target, and Walmart) and then click “Snag This”!  When you redeem your SBs, you don’t actually get your gift card right away. It can take up to 10 days before you get an email from the site notifying you that your card is ready. Just click on the link in that email and log into your account, and you’ll see your gift card! Easy peasy!

Now, what are you waiting for??  Go sign up for Swagbucks –> HERE <– so you can start earning those SBs and redeeming them for awesome gift cards!!!!
