I’ve been telling you about all the amazing things out there, just waiting to be won! Trips, money, gift cards, and even cars! However, I always hear from my friends, “What is your secret? How do you win all this stuff??” I’ll be honest – I don’t really have any deep dark secret strategies to win these prizes or sweepstakes. However, if I can do it, and win — so can you. You can increase your chances to win sweepstakes with these very simple strategies!
There are a few strategies you can use to increase your chances for success in the sweepstakes world:
Entering Sweepstakes Takes Patience
I usually tell people it takes about 3 months of consistency to start seeing wins. Yes, 3 solid months of entering daily without any expectation of wins falling from the sky.
Why is this? First of all, you will have to wait for the sweep to officially close. You may enter in May and it not end until July. Additionally, they often don’t draw a winner for days to weeks. The most recent trip win I won ended in December, and I was notified in APRIL!
Enter Something Daily
Speaking of consistency – enter something daily. I am not saying enter 100 sweepstakes a day. I get that we don’t all have that kind of time. Find a few that you enter daily though, even if it’s 5 of them. Maybe pick the one you really want to win, or that is super easy to enter. I personally like to enter all the instant wins daily. It’s fun, quick, and sometimes an instant gratification.
Have A Moral Compass
Yes, indeed – especially if you believe in karma. Don’t enter something you won’t or can’t use. For example, I never enter sweeps that have a prize to go to a sports event. I don’t like sports, so I will leave those for someone who truly does.
Enter Sweepstakes Efficiently
I want to get in, enter as quickly as possible, and move on. Sometimes, I will open several tabs at a time and work my way through them. I also use an autofill option through my browser. It basically populates my name, address, phone number for me so I don’t have to type them over and over. (There is a special type of program called Roboform you can get to fill out things for you at lightning speed. I don’t use it. The autofill works fine for me, and sometimes this will get you disqualified. There are some conflicting opinions on this, but that is mine.)
Be Willing to do the “Extra”
One of my wins was a knife block from Emeril. It required a recipe. I submitted something I make for my family at least once a week, and that I sort of made up on my own. Yes, it took a few extra minutes to type it up, but these extra steps usually mean less competition!!!
So, go and enter, enter, enter!!! Remember, be patient, and it will happen!
